
CODE OF CONDUCT
The journey of Venerable Minh Tue and the monastic community is one of Dhutaṅga practice — observing strict precepts and cultivating simplicity, purity, and compassion. Therefore, all who come to pay respect, offer support, or record videos are kindly requested to follow certain guidelines to maintain decorum, respectfulness, and safety.
a/ Maintain Respect and Reverence
Bow with hands together when meeting, do not shake hands or touch the monks.
Speak softly, avoid causing noise or disrupting the tranquility of the group.
Avoid standing too close or disturbing the monks while they are meditating, chanting, or resting.
b/ Appropriate Attire
Wear long, modest, and respectful clothing when coming to pay respects or walking with the group.
Avoid wearing revealing, inappropriate, or overly attention-grabbing outfits.
c/ Proper Offerings
Place offerings on a cloth or in a bowl.
Only offer food, drinks, or simple necessities in line with the Dhutanga practice.
Do not force or request the monks to accept offerings if they do not need them.
d/ Limit Casual Photography/Filming
If you wish to take photos or film, ask for permission in advance and maintain respect.
Do not film close-up faces, avoid using flash to prevent disturbing the silence.
Avoid asking the monks personal questions or bringing up issues unrelated to their practice.
e/ Maintain Public Order and Environmental Cleanliness
Do not gather too many people at one spot, causing traffic congestion or obstructing others.
Avoid shouting, speaking loudly, or creating a disturbance.
Do not litter; always keep public spaces clean and dispose of trash after offering.
f/ Ensure Traffic Safety, Avoid Danger
Do not walk in groups of two or three blocking traffic or obstructing vehicles.
Do not run back and forth to film or take photos, causing chaos or danger.
Do not gather in large crowds on the road, avoid affecting traffic and community activities.
Do not cross the road recklessly, always walk on the sidewalk or pedestrian lanes.
a/ Support with Humility, Not for Show
Work in a humble spirit, without boasting or using the support to promote oneself.
Do not claim to be the "spokesperson" for Venerable Minh Tuệ and the monastic community, and do not spread misinformation about the journey.
b/ Do Not Disrupt Traffic, Maintain Order
Do not occupy the road or gather in large groups, causing traffic congestion.
Do not follow the group in a chaotic manner or disrupt public order.
c/ Respect the Space and Privacy of the Group
Only offer support when necessary, without disturbing or forcing assistance.
Avoid staying too close to the group, as it may affect the tranquility during practice.
d/ Do Not Exploit the Volunteer Role for Personal Gain
All volunteers work voluntarily, without requesting any benefits.
Do not use images of Venerable Minh Tuệ and the monastic community for personal or commercial purposes.
Do not falsely claim to represent the group or misuse its reputation for fundraising or fraudulent activities.
e/ Communicate Properly with the Community and the Media
Do not engage in arguments or incite reactions when there are differing opinions about the group.
Keep language polite, avoid using misleading or politically charged language.
If there is false or distorted information, report it to the website management team rather than rebutting it on social media.
f/ Ensure Traffic Safety
Do not run or gather in the middle of the road.
Walk only on pedestrian paths, without obstructing other vehicles.
Cross the road safely, avoiding pushing or creating dangerous situations.
a/ Approach with Respect
If you wish to interview or film, please ask for permission in advance through the official channel.
Do not disturb the monks while they are walking, meditating, or eating.
Avoid asking personal or political questions.
b/ Do Not Distort or Edit Content for Views
Report truthfully, without adding misleading content.
Do not use images of the group for commercial or advertising purposes without permission.
c/ Do Not Livestream or Record Continuously Without Permission
If you wish to livestream, please notify in advance to avoid disrupting the group's tranquility.
Do not attach microphones or recording devices to the monks without permission.
d/ Do Not Disrupt Traffic Order While Filming
Do not ride motorcycles or cars alongside the group in a disruptive manner, violating traffic laws.
Do not cross the road repeatedly or cause traffic disruptions while filming.
Do not gather large groups of people on the road for filming, as it affects others.
Do not set up cameras in the middle of the road or block vehicles to record.
Maintain Respect, Humility, and Tranquility When Interacting with the Group
Offer support quietly, without boasting or causing a commotion.
Limit filming and photography, only recording when permitted.
Do not pressure others to make offerings, provide support, or disrupt the group.
Ensure traffic safety, and do not obstruct public order.
Do not gather in large groups, or walk in pairs or trios that block traffic.
Do not follow the group in a disruptive manner, violating traffic laws.
Do not cross the road repeatedly to film, creating danger.
All recorded content should ensure accuracy and not distort the truth.
Always maintain cleanliness and do not litter in public spaces.
