OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING THE NON-AFFILIATION WITH YOUTUBERS, DISRUPTIVE INDIVIDUALS, AND CHAOTIC INCIDENTS SURROUNDING THE MONASTIC GROUP

To all practitioners, kind supporters, and those concerned about the walking journey of Minh Tue and the monastic group,

In recent times, we have observed various videos, livestreams, and social media content involving individuals claiming to follow or support the Sangha on their pilgrimage. Some of these activities have caused misunderstandings, disorder, and even disruption to public peace.

We would like to clarify the following:

1. Minh Tue’s monastic group is an independent walking Sangha that follows the spirit of forest asceticism (dhutanga). It is not an organized body and does not manage or authorize any individual or media group.

2. Any filming, livestreaming, fundraising, or public activity carried out under the name of “following the group” without direct approval from the monks is not representative of the Sangha’s intentions or values.

3. The Sangha is not responsible for the behavior, speech, or content created by YouTubers, livestreamers, or any individuals who associate themselves with the group without consent.

4. We urge kind practitioners, supporters, and the public to seek verified information only from official channels such as MinhTuePath.org and trusted sources to avoid being misled by sensational or distorted content.

5. Any behavior that causes disruption, misrepresentation, or exploitation of the group’s image for personal or harmful purposes is contrary to the spirit of mindfulness and peace that the monks embody.

We sincerely ask for your understanding, discernment, and respectful support so that the monks’ path of peaceful practice can continue undisturbed and in accordance with their intention for a life of simplicity and clarity.
