The Police of 7 States in Malaysia Have Approved for the Group

All states have approved the legal walking journey for the group across Malaysia, from the Thai border to the Singapore border, covering a distance of over 1,000 km:

7 states:

  1. Kedah

  2. Penang

  3. Perak

  4. Selangor

  5. Negeri Sembilan

  6. Malacca

  7. Johor (including Johor Bahru)

The entire process of seeking approvals was carried out by Thân Thanh Vũ, who volunteered to undertake it using his own resources and personal funds, with the support of volunteers: Le Thi My Tien (for documentation and paperwork) and Ha Phuc Long (for transportation).

The team had to endure fasting, holding in their needs, and working on highways to update records and paperwork for the police. In some places, they were not accepted initially, so they had to patiently persuade the authorities and find places to make corrections, then return to wait for hours and knock on many department doors... The entire details of the approval process for each police department in the 7 states could fill a fascinating novel. However, at Than Thanh Vu's request, the website admin team only provided a brief summary with results and a few images.

The original documents with signatures and seals from all 7 police departments have been transferred to Mr. Phuoc Nghiem - a key volunteer walking with the monks.

A few images from the journey to seek approval from the police departments—these images may seem simple, but behind them lies an extraordinary effort to secure the unprecedented approval from the Malaysian police departments for the group’s journey:

These approvals serve as the legal foundation for working with governments or organizations in other countries that the group plans to visit. When asked if the group has ever been approved for walking in any country, there will be legal documentation to present to the host country to assure them. The work of the volunteers going forward will be less burdensome.

Wishing the group continued diligent practice and peace!

Wishing all those who cherish Venerable Minh Tuệ and the monastic community happiness and serenity!

Respectfully,

Admin
